Dissecting the cellular hierarchies of malignant gliomas by single-cell functional genomics

Summary We believe to have made significant progress in the first 3.5 years of the funding period of R37CA245523. We have co-led and published two research articles closely related to the original proposal (Hara et al Cancer Cell 2021; Mathewson et al Cell 2021), with a third manuscript under revision in a top-tier journal and two additional single-cell and spatial genomic studies in glioblastoma nearing completion. Recent presentation of these latest works at a Keystone Conference on Single-Cell Genomics in Cancer and Development (that I organized and chaired) attracted major interest from top journal editors. In sum, we are excited to continue our work and advance our Specific Aims, if given the opportunity with a two year extension period. Project Summary/Abstract
