Abstract

Abstract – Administrative Core The CGR Administrative Core will be the central management arm of the Center and assist our early career stage Research Project Leaders (RPLs), Pilot Project Investigators, mentors, and Core Directors to create a state-of-the-art research center for the understanding of chromatin biology and epigenetic mechanisms of genome regulation. Dr. Freeman along with Dr. Gorbsky and supported by administrative staff will ensure that the scientific, fiscal, regulatory, and other management aspects of the CGR are efficiently completed. The Administrative Core will: 1) Provide central management and logistical support for the COBRE, 2) Provide mentoring for the Research Project Leaders and assist with their transition to scientific independence. 3) Administer the Pilot Project program, 4) Promote multidisciplinary approaches to the research of and interactions among the CGR investigators, 5) Coordinate the recruitment of new Research Project Leaders.
