Administrative Core

SUMMARY An efficient administrative structure is essential to the design and implementation of the PlanB2CureHIV Consortium. The Administrative Core will focus on facilitating communication, collaboration, strategic planning, data sharing, and scientific and fiscal oversight of the component Research Projects and Scientific Cores. The Administrative Core will oversee all the goals of the Consortium and ensure their successful, cost-effective, and timely completion. The Administrative Core will organize an annual meeting with internal leadership and external advisors to facilitate data exchange, collaboration, and progress towards the aims. They will ensure that required progress is made to prepare for an INTERACT meeting at the end of year 2 and that direction from the FDA resulting from this meeting is integrated into the research directions for years 3-5. The Administrative Core will coordinate, schedule, and implement regularly scheduled internal teleconferencing meetings among components and assist the PIs of the Cores and Projects in the preparation of progress reports, internal compliance filings, and manuscripts to support the overall goals of the Consortium. They will also plan an annual progress meeting that will include external science advisory board advisers and NIH staff members.
