RFA DP24-081 Coordinating Center for SIGHT STUDIES Evaluating the Effectiveness of Telehealth-Based Programs to Detect Glaucoma Among High-Risk Populations in Community Health Settings

ABSTRACT The Coordinating Center for SIGHT STUDIES Evaluating the Effectiveness of Telehealth-Based Programs to Detect Glaucoma Among High-Risk Populations in Community Health Settings (Component B) will play a critical role in facilitating collaborations between Component A Awardees by providing scientific and logistical support to study the community-based interventions designed by Awardees. By serving as the administrative hub, the Coordinating Center will facilitate the development of a common, standardized protocol, coordinate the process to support communication, provide the website infrastructure for information exchange, and assist with the dissemination and translation of research findings. The Coordinating Center will provide a strong organizational foundation and accommodate the needs of the Awardees. Specific aims of the Coordinating Center include: Aim 1: Provide scientific support and assistance with refining study designs of Component A Awardees conducting comparative effectiveness trials to investigate the feasibility, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of telehealth-based interventions to detect and manage glaucoma among high-risk populations. Aim 2: Support Component A Awardees to develop common, standardized protocols that will enable comparison of outcomes across the interventions, including the cost-effectiveness assessment. Aim 3: Provide logistical and organizational support for governance, meetings, and administrative functions to facilitating collaboration, communication, information exchange, and dissemination of findings among Awardees and stakeholders, including transitioning and maintaining the study website with internal and external access.
