ADMINISTRATIVE CORE ABSTRACT The MGNet Administrative Core is crucial for the successful coordination and management of the Myasthenia Gravis Rare Disease Clinical Research Network (MGNet). Under the leadership of Dr. Henry J. Kaminski, the Core ensures efficient administrative, fiscal, and regulatory support across all MGNet activities. Our first specific aim focuses on enhancing operational efficiency by streamlining administrative processes, managing contracts, and optimizing the biospecimen tracking system. We aim to ensure rapid site activation and compliance with NIH regulations through a central IRB approval process. The second aim fosters scientific integration and collaboration within MGNet. By organizing annual symposiums, quarterly newsletters, and regular meetings, the Core promotes the sharing of research updates and facilitates collaboration among investigators, patient advocacy groups, and industry partners. The Administrative Core also supports the Career Enhancement and Pilot Studies programs by ensuring broad advertising and efficient application processing. Our third aim is to ensure data integrity and accessibility. In collaboration with the Biostatistics and Informatics Core, we maintain high standards of data quality and compliance with NIH Data Sharing Policies. Regular monitoring and reporting of data quality and recruitment metrics help maintain the integrity of MGNet research. We also facilitate data sharing and synchronization with RDCRN standards, providing statistical support for study design and analysis. Finally, the fourth aim focuses on promoting sustainability and strategic planning. The Core works with the Executive Committee to develop a strategic plan that ensures the long-term sustainability of MGNet beyond NIH funding. This includes setting and reviewing milestones, establishing an effective External Advisory Committee, and engaging with international collaborators and patient advocacy groups. By achieving these aims, the MGNet Administrative Core will support the network's mission to advance myasthenia gravis research with goals of enhanced clinical trial performance and biomarker discovery through fostering a collaborative, efficient research environment.
