Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY – Community Engagement and Population Health Core Aim 1. To provide educational opportunities to diabetes translation researchers and community stakeholders that: a) promote awareness of the importance of community-engaged research; b) develop researcher competencies in this area; and c) enhance stakeholders’ ability to conduct diabetes translation research. Aim 2. To support novel, interdisciplinary diabetes translation research by offering services and resources that enhance community and stakeholder engagement, with an ultimate goal of promoting diabetes-related health outcomes . Aim 3: To disseminate findings and products of successful diabetes translation research, thereby accelerating improvements in clinical practice, patient outcomes, and policy.
