Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY / ABSTRACT (ADMINISTRATIVE CORE) The Administrative Core provides critical infrastructure and services that support the proposed ACE research program. The overall goals are to maximize the productive research potential of all Projects and Cores through clear delineation of organizational structure and ensure the timely completion of goals of this program. This Core will take advantage of the administrative leadership of Maureen Su (PI and Admin Core Lead) and Alexis Stephens (Senior Clinical Research Coordinator). Ms. Stephens brings a wealth of experience in multi-project program management and clinical studies to her role. The Core’s mission is described in 3 Aims. In Aim 1, we will delineate a clear organizational structure of management and organization to best support each core and project. In Aim 2, we will ensure that defined milestones are being met, including regulatory compliance, record keeping, reporting, publications, and fiscal accountability. In Aim 3, we will establish a conflicts resolution system to identify problems and set a culture of collaboration. This will involve frequent and transparent communication with the NIAID, as well as an innovative patient partnership program. Thus the Administrative Core will be an integral part of our ACE.
