Abstract
ABSTRACT– COMPUTATIONAL CORE MODULE This module is a response to the growing demand for integrating computational and experimental work. Funding agencies are increasingly looking for rigorous computational aims to complement experimental goals, and high impact factor journals often require a model to explain experimental findings. By providing consulting, education, and collaborations on computational techniques to complement existing research in the department, this computational core will encourage and accelerate adoption and incorporation of state-of-the-art computational and statistical approaches to ongoing fundamental biological research. The module includes servers for data storage and computing (approximately 200TB of storage capacity annually).
