Abstract

The proposed project provides travel support for Ph.D. students in the disciplines of computer science and library and information science, who are in the early stages of their dissertation work, so that they can attend the doctoral consortium (DC) of the 2023 ACM/IEEE-CS Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL 2023). The goal of the consortium is to help these students develop their dissertation proposals and research plans through feedback and guidance from prominent professors and experiences practitioners from the field of digital library research and development. This award reflects NSF's statutory mission and has been deemed worthy of support through evaluation using the Foundation's intellectual merit and broader impacts review criteria.
