Abstract

The Open Research Community Accelerator (ORCA) will organize an event that will bring together scientists, researchers, students, policymakers, funders, and other key actors with the goal of “dynamic convergence” -- creating a fertile ground for forging partnerships, establishing best practices, and coordinating resources. The convening will emphasize intentionality; specifically, how can we engage in rigorous, evidence-based activities that will promote equitable and inclusive open science. This award by the Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure within the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering is jointly supported by the Division of Social and Economic Sciences within the Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences. This award reflects NSF's statutory mission and has been deemed worthy of support through evaluation using the Foundation's intellectual merit and broader impacts review criteria.
