The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only a limited number of sources that can satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR Overhaul 6.103-1. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to consider alternate sources. Award of the proposed contract action will not be delayed while an unauthorized source seeks to obtain certification. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Overhaul Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.
