Description

Fightertown Recapitalization Industry Day Hosted by Associated General Contractors of Alaska WHAT: Industry engagement regarding the Air Force Fightertown Recapitalization Program at Fairbanks, Alaska. WHO: Attendance is open to all firms interested in supporting military construction and infrastructure development in Alaska. Organizations of all sizes are encouraged to participate, including contractors, designers, suppliers, manufacturers, professional service providers, and potential teaming partners. AGC members and industry partners in attendance will include: General and specialty contractors Architecture and engineering firms Construction managers Suppliers and manufacturers Small businesses Joint venture partners Firms interested in federal and military construction opportunities Alaska APEX Accelerator representatives Society of American Military Engineers members U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pacific Ocean Division and Alaska District representatives, including contracting and program/project management personnel U.S. Air Force Special Programs Division representatives WHERE: 8 Star Events Center 1485 30th Ave Fairbanks, AK 99701 A remote participation option is not currently available for this event WHEN: Monday, August 24 through Wednesday, August 26, 1:00 - 4:00 PM WHY: The Air Force, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers serving as its construction agent, is advancing the Fightertown Recapitalization Program at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. This multi-year, multi-billion-dollar effort will utilize a variety of acquisition and project delivery methods, including authorities provided under the FY26 National Defense Authorization Act, to deliver critical infrastructure supporting national defense missions. This Industry Day is intended to provide early engagement between government and industry, increase awareness of upcoming opportunities, and foster discussions regarding capacity, workforce, partnerships, innovation, and project delivery strategies. Alaska's construction industry has a strong record of delivering complex federal and military projects, often through strategic teaming arrangements and regional partnerships. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the program, engage directly with government representatives, and connect with potential partners to support successful execution of this nationally significant effort.
