Description

This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) will support research towards understanding and mitigating the deleterious effects of acute exposure to Ultra-Potent Synthetic (UPS) opioids (e.g., fentanyl, carfentanil, nitazenes) and their combinations (fentanyl and xylazine). This NOFO will also support research on the persistent and/or delayed pathophysiological effects after acute exposure to such agents.

County governments; Small businesses; Special district governments; City or township governments; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); For profit organizations other than small businesses; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Private institutions of higher education; Independent school districts; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; State governments; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
