Description

The purpose of the NIH Midcareer Investigator Award in Patient-Oriented Research (K24) is to provide support to mid-career health-professional doctorates for protected time to devote to patient-oriented research (POR) and to act as research mentors primarily for clinical residents, clinical fellows and/or junior clinical faculty.

Eligibility

Special district governments; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); Independent school districts; County governments; Private institutions of higher education; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; State governments; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Small businesses; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; City or township governments; For profit organizations other than small businesses
