Description

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to solicit applications for the conduct of scientific research utilizing data from expanded access (EA) for investigational drugs or biological products as described in section 561 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 360bbb). These applications will target intermediate size populations of patients living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) who are not eligible for ongoing clinical trials for the prevention, diagnosis, mitigation, treatment, or cure of ALS.

County governments; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Special district governments; Private institutions of higher education; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Small businesses; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; Independent school districts; State governments; For profit organizations other than small businesses; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; City or township governments
