Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) located out of Coronado has a requirement to procure two (2) X-ray baggage scanning systems to support screening operations at designated access control points. The X-ray scanners are required in accordance with the Allowance Equipage List (AEL) and are necessary to close an identified security gap. This capability enhances the command's ability to detect prohibited items and supports compliance with established force protection and antiterrorism requirements. The contractor shall provide all equipment, software, materials, shipping, installation, calibration, testing, warranty, and training services necessary to deliver fully operational scanners conforming to the technical specifications outlined in the SOW (Statement of Work) attached.
