Description

This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation RFO 5.101(a) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by RFO 6.103-1(b) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. It is not a request for competitive quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Boston Scientific with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by RFO 6.103-1(b) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements because this equipment is provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Boston Scientific Corp. The intended contractor is Boston Scientific Corp. The Department of Veterans Affairs San Francisco Care System (VASFHCS) is seeking to negotiate a sole source award to Boston Scientific Corp for routine maintenance including replacement parts and services, software upgrades and maintenance on our Farastar and StimCor systems including additional equipment upgrades associated with Cardiology StimCor and Farastar system equipment.
