Specifically, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to award a logical follow-on sole-source purchase order to The Building People (TBP) to build upon and continue the interior design service support work utilizing and re-configuring the IBM TRIRIGA Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) for the administration, configuration, and support services at USPTO Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia and other USPTO facilities. TBP are currently in the process of customizing and adjusting the USPTO�s IBM TRIRIGA platform to meet USPTO-specific business requirements, including system configuration, module development, report and dashboard creation, user support, and integration with USPTO design, space planning and occupancy management operations. It would not be fiscally responsible, prudent or in the best interest of USPTO to solicit new vendors at this time. This action ensures continuity of ongoing system integration and development efforts and prevents disruption to active TRIRIGA solution implementation activities that have not yet reached full operational capability. As a result, per PTAG 6.1.1 (d) USPTO intends to negotiate and award a logical follow-on firm fixed contract with The Building People LLC to meet this requirement.
