Description
Electrophoresis CPT Sources Sought Notice This notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation of the government to acquire any products or services. Responses to this notice will be used for informational purposes only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs from the government will arise as a result from a response to this announcement. No contract will be awarded from this notice. The information requested in this notice will be used to determine if there are sufficient socioeconomic small business concerns that are capable of performing the work described for the requirement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is seeking sources for the following procurement: Electrophoresis CPT; Contractor shall provide a fully automated, gel electrophoresis instrument that can perform both serum and urine electrophoresis (SPEP/UPEP), immunofixation (SIFE/UIFE) and Immunotyping (IT) to identify monoclonal and polyclonal gammopathies for the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital, located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229. See attached Statement of Work. BACKGROUND South Texas Veterans Health Care System Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services (P&LMS) 7400 Merton Minter Blvd. San Antonio, TX 78229 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) has a continued need for Serum and Urine Protein Electrophoresis, IFE, and IT instrumentation. The contractor shall provide a fully automated, gel electrophoresis instrument that can perform both serum and urine electrophoresis (SPEP/UPEP), immunofixation (SIFE/UIFE) and Immunotyping (IT) to identify monoclonal and polyclonal gammopathies. The Sebia instruments Capillarys and Hydrasys have been in use in the STVHCS Chemistry Laboratory 2016. See Price/Cost Schedule and Attachment A within the Statement of Work (SOW) for lists of estimated testing needs. (Quantities are estimates only). See attached SOW for the performance requirements.
