Hobart Kitchen Services Renewal

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Networking Contracting Office (NCO1) located in West Haven, CT intends to enter into a sole source procurement, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with ITW Food Equipment Group LLC DBA Hobart for the following requirement: Performance Work Statement Hobart Kitchen Service VA Medical Center | White River Junction | Vermont Scope of Work Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair of Hobart kitchen equipment at the White River Junction VA Medical Center. The VA Medical Center at White River Junction, VT has thirteen kitchen appliances requiring services from Hobart. Each instrument shall receive a variation of inspection, maintenance, repairs as needed, depending on their importance to the kitchen. A list of the Hobart Kitchen appliances to be covered under this contract can be found below. If maintenance is required, the technician will perform the repair. If parts, not covered by the contract, are required to make the repair, the technician will provide a report to the COR showing what parts are required and their price. Two option years are to be included in the contract, with an expected price increase of roughly 10% each year. Service to be scheduled as soon as possible. Other Considerations for Proposal This work takes place in a functioning hospital, surrounded by staff and patients. Materials and equipment will be brought in and construction materials/debris shall be properly contained to comply with regulations and standard Infection Control practices. All workers are required to sign in and out at Building 37 every workday. Those without a permanent badge will log and wear a temporary badge, returned each day. Infection Control Plan Schedule Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any hazardous materials to be brought on site. Shop Drawings Construction Submittals The provisions of all applicable NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and VA codes, Federal, State, and local regulations shall be followed throughout the course of this project. ITW Food Equipment Group LLC � DBA Hobart will be awarded this procurement because they are the only vendor capable of providing the needed service because the ITW Food Equipment Group LLC � DBA Hobart Service is a manufacturer and servicer of �Hobart Commercial Food Equipment�. As such, the equipment is proprietary to ITW and no other companies are authorized to service this Equipment. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811412 with small business size standard of $16 Million. This notice of intent is not a solicitation nor is it a request for proposal. However, interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement listed above must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing by September 21, 2026 at 9:00 AM EST time.
