J999 SOLE SOURCE FOR PORT STERN TUBE SHAFT SEAL ASSEMBY INSTALLATION

Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) intends to solicit for the INSTALLATION OF THE PORT STERN TUBE SHAFT SEAL ASSEMBLY INFLATABLE SEAL. This requirement is sole sourced to DEFENSE MARITIME SOLUTIONS INC. due to technical requirements not allowing deviation from specifications for materials presscribed and/or identified. Adherence to the technical data, engineering drawings and logistics documents are required to prevent unauthorized spares from being installed on board US Navy Ships and MSC Vessels. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will evaluate the offeror�s price for reasonableness and past performance as part of the responsibility determination in accordance with RFO 12.203.
