Description

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) supports projects relevant to the NIGMS mission that focus solely on the development of technologies with potential to enable acquisition of biomedical knowledge. Projects should be justified in terms of technical innovation and utility of such technical innovation for impacting future biomedical research. Outcomes or products of the proposed project should significantly advance the current state of the art and be sufficiently characterized for application in addressing a broad range of biomedical research questions.

State governments; City or township governments; Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); Small businesses; Independent school districts; For profit organizations other than small businesses; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Private institutions of higher education; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; County governments; Special district governments; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
