Description

The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to encourage community-engaged research that broadens the conceptualization of qualities of the environment that can support language development in children and that focuses on the development of novel measures of childrens language development. The overall goal is to build the number of strengths-focused, culturally and linguistically responsive, and generalizable toolsto further our understanding of childrens language development and/or impairment, and predictors thereof.

Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Private institutions of higher education; City or township governments; Small businesses; State governments; Independent school districts; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); County governments; Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Special district governments; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; For profit organizations other than small businesses
