Description

This NIDCR Small Grant Program for New Investigators supports basic and clinical research conducted by scientists who are in the early stages of establishing an independent research career in oral, dental and craniofacial research. This R03 program supports pilot or feasibility studies and developmental research projects with the intention of obtaining sufficient preliminary data for a subsequent investigator initiated Research Project Grant (R01) or equivalent application.

Eligibility

Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; County governments; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Small businesses; City or township governments; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; State governments; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Special district governments; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; Independent school districts; Private institutions of higher education; For profit organizations other than small businesses; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
