Description

The overall goal of the Stimulating Access to Research in Residency (StARR) program is to provide resident clinicians in training with in-depth research experiences early in their careers, in order to recruit, retain and accelerate independence of a pool of clinician-investigators with both clinical and research experience necessary to perform basic, clinical and/or translational research.

Eligibility

County governments; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; State governments; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); For profit organizations other than small businesses; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Private institutions of higher education; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Small businesses; Independent school districts; City or township governments; Special district governments; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
