Description
This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the BJA FY 26 Tribal Justice Training and Technical Assistance Program. This opportunity strengthens Tribal justice systems by providing specialized technical experts to assist federally recognized Indian Tribes in developing, implementing, and enhancing justice systems. The program addresses violent crime, substance-use related crime (including opioids, stimulants, and other illicit substances), and overdose fatalities while helping Tribes build sustainable legal and corrections infrastructure and enhance collaboration with federal, state, and local partners.
Eligibility
Small businesses; Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; For profit organizations other than small businesses; Private institutions of higher education; Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification)
