Description
Through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), the participating NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices (ICOs) invite applications for the investigator-initiated Program Project (P01). A P01 supports a broadly based, multidisciplinary research program with a specific major scientific objective or theme. The proposed Program Projects are focused on the programmatic interests of one or more of the participating ICOs based on their scientific missions. A program project utilizes research projects with a common central scientific theme, an administrative core, and optional shared resource core(s) to accomplish ICOs' programmatic objectives.
Eligibility
County governments; Independent school districts; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; City or township governments; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); Private institutions of higher education; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Special district governments; For profit organizations other than small businesses; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Small businesses; State governments
