Abstract

Program Director/Principal Investigator (Last, First, Middle): STERGIOU, NICK Project Summary In Phase 2, the Movement Analysis Research Core (MOVAN) was established as a successful resource for providing exceptional access to state-of-the-art measurements of behavioral function and movement analysis for human movement variability research to treat and prevent motor-related disorders. MOVAN is a unique resource within the state of Nebraska, allowing our MOVCENTR investigators to develop distinctive tools and methods to enhance the effectiveness of their research. Additionally, MOVAN includes training, consultation, and strategic planning for all investigators, especially those who do not have primary expertise in measuring behavioral function and movement analysis. Thus, investigators are advised on best practices, experimental design, and available cutting-edge approaches. In Phase 3, to better serve the needs of our investigators, we plan to develop and verify new analytical methods of human movement and improve efficiency and project management. By broadening our offerings, our goal is to enhance the uniqueness of our core and establish a more collaborative, multidisciplinary atmosphere to address intricate issues related to human movement variability in state-of-the-art laboratories.
